The Proxemics is "the study of how humans unconsciously organize micro spaces and the distances among them in their daily transactions, the organization of space in their homes and other buildings, and finally the structure of their cities." Study of the distances to understand the necessity of the space of people, according to the reports that have between them and according to the type of space in which they are located. Useful for the study of the habits and lifestyles of each user category.
Topic
The concept of Smart City is inextricably linked to social innovation. Smart cities are cities generating governance, infrastructural and technological conditions to produce social innovations and solve social problems as results of growth, inclusion and standards of living through listening, understanding and participation of different local actors: citizens, companies, associations.
It is important to underline that the concept of “smart” is not only connected with existing information and communication infrastructures
but also, and above all, related to the role of human, social and relational capital. A city is smart when people are smart in terms of skills and capacities in relation inclusion.
Context
It is not just a matter of “intelligent city” as “digital city”, but to take a step forward.
This is about making citizens aware of the reality where they live, fostering their participation in raising their living and cities standards. Moving on from the study of aggregation piont, such as the city’s main square, encouraging human relationships, it is intention to propose project solutions pushing people into living their cities, adopting more sustainable lifestyle practices, by interacting up with squares and streets.
Detecting the presence of people in the streets, by means of sensors and monitoring systems, necessary data are collected for activation of the interactive interfaces like the door, the app, the totems,to provide information about scheduled events or ongoing influx of people in the city. Just the presence of the people turns on the system and the city itself.
The bench Inclusive owes its name to the double meaning of the word. Inclusiveness is understood as accessibility to a user category that includes, of course, also the disabled or mothers with strollers, or just those who need more space for their skills.

Project
These solutions are designed with a view of regaining relationship between public space and between citizens, to get a cultural change and set up enduring strategies and short-term actions. Indeed, quality of life in cities depends on citizens lifestyles practices. This project is focused on these practices with the aim to provide incentives for healthy lifestyles, which are therefore profitable advantageous for the entire system.
The engine of change is the experience. People change when they discover that another way of doing things, to live or to be, it is more pleasant or satisfying than the old one.
For this reason a city is not smart if you are not smart its citizens, and vice versa.
